Getting Involved
Here are some of the ways in which you can help raise vital funds. You could get involved with family and friends to put on an event. Don't forget to ask your work place and colleagues to join in the fun.
Balloon RacesA mass release of helium filled balloons can be a spectacular sight. |
Charity Fun DaysA whole day of fun with any number of these ideas, and more! |
Guessing CompetitionsWhether it's the name of a teddy or doll, the weight of a cake, the number of sweets in a jar or baked beans in a bucket, people will always want to have a go. |
Dress Down or Fancy Dress DaysStaff pay a nominal sum (usually a minimum of £1) to wear clothes of their choice instead of a uniform or other smart work clothes. |
Children's Drawing / Colouring / Writing CompetitionsThere's always an occasion, whether it's Easter, Christmas, Mother's Day, Father's Day or for no other reason than to help the Trust. |
Raffles & TombolasThese might be trusty old favourites, but they always seems to do well. |
Social EventsDiscos, Quiz Nights, Treasure Hunts & Karaoke have all proved to be very popular. |

Sponsored EventsWalking, Running, Swimming, Cycling, Fasting, Silences, Head Shaving or colouring; almost any activity is suitable for sponsorship.We have an in-built fear of people hurting themselves, so we do not encourage dangerous sports such as parachute or bungee jumping. |
